Melee scan: ratio first, then ATK

Advisor’s melee focus is for the weapons and worn stats in your dump. It will not write a Monk or Rogue planar list from someone else’s tooltip.

Tanks already have written rankings (pre-planar, AC-first planar). This page is the DPS / hybrid case: paste the dump, set the three classes, scan melee — or balanced if the same toon also tanks.

Melee score:

ATK × 3 + STR × 2 + DEX × 1.5 + ratio × 40 + haste × 3 + AC + HP × 0.5

Ratio is damage ÷ delay. Empty delay means that term is zero, so a “nice” weapon with no delay in the catalog cannot win on ratio. Haste in the formula is the catalog field after mote math (base + 1 per tier). Advisor does not know if a bard already capped you.

On a weapon slot, a 0.02 ratio gap usually matters more than 2 AC. Dual wield vs two-hand is your trio, not the equation. Check Merge XP on upgraded weapons — a wrong +N moves damage. Procs are invisible: Ykesha can still be the right swing even when the scan prefers a cleaner ratio with no proc line.
