Plane of Sky primary unlocks (EverQuest Legends)

Primary unlock quests in Plane of Sky reward class-specific gear. The free Sky Primary Unlock Tracker on EQL Tools tracks parts, Wind Runes, and completed rewards per character.

What a primary unlock is

Each class has a Sky primary-unlock quest line: gather turn-in parts from Plane of Sky islands, pay a Wind Rune cost, and hand the package to that class’s NPC. The reward is class-specific gear. Multiclass characters usually run several lines at once, which is why the tracker is per character — not a single shared checklist.

The class pages under unlocks by class are the same table the tracker uses: reward name, quest name, NPC, Wind Rune, and each part’s farm island. They are a reference. Progress belongs in the Sky Tracker.

Wind Runes

Azia, Kala, Meda, Caza, and the rest are currencies. They are not reliable bag rows in /outputfile inventory. In game, open Inventory → Storage → Currencies, then type those Held amounts on the tracker (or paste a Name / Expansion / Quantity list if your dump includes currency rows). The “Ready to complete” lane will not light up if the rune box is still empty.

Inventory and storage dumps

Use /outputfile inventory for worn gear and many bag/bank items. Dragon’s Hoard is often missing unless you open it at a banker first. That is the number one “the tracker didn’t see my parts” report. Prefer uploading the *-Inventory.txt file: EverQuest often writes UTF-16, and paste can look empty.

Optional: /outputfile achievements Complete. Finished Obtain <reward> lines and Class Unlock achievements mark matching quests done so you are not re-ticking vaulted gear.

Using the Sky Tracker

1. Open the Sky Primary Unlock Tracker.
2. Set Character and Server. Progress is stored in this browser per profile.
3. Enter Wind Rune amounts.
4. Import inventory, then achievements if you have them.
5. Use Still needed (parts by island) and Ready to complete (every part and rune checked). Extra stacks that exceed unfinished quests show in Extra — useful when you have been farming for two classes.

Worked example

You are a Wizard hunting Al`Kabor’s Cap of Binding. The class page lists the turn-ins and island. You dump inventory after opening Dragon’s Hoard. Matching part names check off. If the cap is already complete, an achievements dump with the Obtain line vaults the whole quest. If the listed Wind Rune is still zero, the card stays in Active even when every item is checked — that is expected, not a bug.

Rewards by class

Full turn-in lists: Plane of Sky unlocks by class. Patch notes can change NPCs and costs — confirm in game before you destroy a turn-in.
