EQL Tools for EverQuest Legends

EQL Tools is a free unofficial fan site from Celtic Trinity Studios. It is a set of browser helpers for EverQuest Legends: Sky unlock tracking, Magelo-style paperdolls, a dump-sighted item catalog, and a Gear Advisor that only ranks items it has numbers for.

How to use this page
  1. This is the site overview. Jump to a tool from the list below, or use the sidebar.
  2. In-game dumps: type the command in chat, then click the text document that appears to open it, copy all, and paste into the tool. Commands: /outputfile inventory, /outputfile achievements Complete, /outputfile spellbook. EQL has no recipe dump command.
  3. If you only need the dump steps, use the export guide.

Why this is not another Lucy clone

Classic Magelo and Lucy assume a shared Live database. EverQuest Legends does not. Item IDs in a dump are the IDs that matter here. Wiki AC on a helmet can be wrong. Some Live chat commands were never added. If we imported Helper wholesale, Gear Advisor would look complete and still recommend fiction.

So the catalog is incomplete until a dump sights an ID or an inspect verifies stats. That policy is written out in how we verify EQL data.

What you can do here

  • Sky Primary Unlock Tracker — per character and server. Import inventory and achievement dumps, enter Wind Rune amounts (currencies are not in a normal inventory file), and see remaining parts by island.
  • Character Profiles — import /outputfile inventory, fill a paperdoll, manage loadouts, edit AA ranks, publish a shareable sheet, search players, and compare gear. Dumps show whole +N tiers; enter Merge XP after import to match mid-tier inspects.
  • Gear Advisor — score the gear you own for tank, caster, melee, or balanced. Scoring formulas are public so you can see why a slot won.
  • Item Database — browse sighted IDs. Combat stats are inspect-verified when we have them; Helper/wiki are fill-in only.
  • Spell Database — search spells and preview mote upgrades. Client spells_us.txt plus inspect beats a wiki tick count.
  • Tradeskill Recipes — Classic PEQ combines. The EQL client has no /outputfile recipes command.
  • Optional accounts — tools work with local browser saves; sign in to publish profiles and sync across devices.

Who this is for

Players who want Magelo-style helpers without installing a mod, and who are tired of checklists that assume Live EQ. Progress for Sky Tracker stays in your browser unless you publish a profile. You do not need an account to import a dump.

Getting started

  1. The short loop is after your first dump. Dragon’s Hoard and UTF-16 notes: export guide.
  2. Open Sky Tracker or Profiles and set character name plus server.
  3. Paste or upload the dump. For Sky, also enter Wind Runes from Inventory → Storage → Currencies.
  4. If a catalog number disagrees with inspect, send the in-game stats rather than a wiki table.
